Get paid to be a Mock Juror
Sometimes lawyers will pay people to be mock jurors to evaluate an upcoming trial to get an idea of how things may work (or not) when the case goes to trial in a real courtroom. You still have to keep any and all details of any cases that you evaluate secret. This should not be considered a steady stream of income, you may sign up and never get a case; or you may get a few per month. It largely depends on where you live. However, the pay can be great, and the cases very interesting.
Sites where you can apply to be an online juror:
eJury - eJury provides an attorney the opportunity to "pre-try" the case before it goes to trial in front of an actual jury at the courthouse. For each verdict rendered, eJurors are paid $5 - $10 depending on the length of the case. JuryTest - Be an Online Juror Online Verdict - You will review interesting legal cases from the comfort of your home, provide feedback through an online questionnaire, and be paid well for your time. Your time commitment for each case will vary from 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the details of the case. Payments start at $20 per case and can go up to $60 per case Trial Practices, Inc. - Occasionally spend a few hours on your nights and weekends, making about $10 per hour as a mock juror. ZapJury - The ZapJury concept was designed to create a large pool of people who are willing to serve on "mock" juries on the Internet to give feedback on actual cases.
