Concierge - Bilingual (French, Italian, Portuguese, Hebrew)

VIPdesk is currently (as of 4/16/12) accepting applications for a Future 2012 Concierge Training Class. This position is for people who are bilingual in English and one of the follow languages: French, Italian, Portuguese or Hebrew.

The Concierge will assist and respond to customer and client requests for information. These requests will come to you via phone, email and/or chat.

Because VIPdesk operates 24/7/365, full-time concierges will work 35-40 hours each week. Part-time Concierges will work up to 34 hours each week. In addition, weekend and holiday work is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Handle customer requests
  • Research and fulfills requests from customers
  • Interacts with customer to provide information in response to inquiries
  • Handle and resolve complaints
  • Conducts outbound calls to customers
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding requests
  • Uses high quality customer service guidelines when working
  • Leverages current partners and uses the Internet in addition to other resources to fulfill requests
  • Communicate responses in a clear, professional and timely manner
  • Represent clients in a professional and mannerly way
  • Attends meetings and trainings as required
  • Use web-based and computer-based programs to help customers
  • Enter pertinent customer data
  • Process required information
  • Apply client and VIPdesk policies as needed when helping customers
  • Meet or exceed program metrics as outlined in the training and manuals

    Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit in a confined position for 95% of your scheduled shift.
  • Must be able to key data into the computer system and view a computer screen for long periods.
  • Must have a dedicated home-office environment, telephone line, Internet connection and a computer that meets VIPdesk policies and requirements.

    Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Some college required/degree preferred
  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • Hospitality and Service orientation a must/direct experience is desired
  • Travel agency experience is a plus
  • Must have strong computer and Internet skills.
  • Must be able to learn quickly in a technical environment
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to type at least 35 WPM
  • Must be highly resourceful and have a strong investigative nature
  • Must have knowledge of various market offerings
  • Must have great customer satisfactions and follow through skills.
  • Must have understanding of the highest levels of customer service
  • Must have a friendly and knowledgeable demeanor on the telephone
  • Must be highly adaptable, self-motivated and self disciplined.
  • Must be able to learn and work on your own and in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
  • Must have the ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to excellence
  • Must be able to thrive in a performance-based environment
  • Must be able to work weekend and holiday hours
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Must be fluent in French, Italian, Portuguese or Hebrew
  • Must be able to successfully pass a credit, criminal and employment reference check
  • Must have an ergonomically sound work at home environment that is conducive to taking customer calls and is quiet and free from distraction.

    Compensation

    Compensation averages $11.00-$13.00 per hour depending on qualifications. Bonuses are also available.
