SpeakWriteAll SpeakWrite typists must:
Please remember that SpeakWrite does not train typists. Only apply if you have previous experience. Applicants interested in Legal Transcription should have at least 24 months of increasingly responsible legal work in a law firm. These 24 months should not be more than 5 years previous to the application date. In addition, you should have experience in the set up of legal pleadings, agreements, court headings, interrogatories, deposition summaries, formal correspondence, the proper format of legal citations, etc. Those interested in General Transcription must have the same amount of experience as that required of a Legal Typist Applicant. General office experience is not sufficient for this position. Applicants must have specific experience in formal correspondence, reports, etc. SpeakWrite performs backgrounds checks on all typists before they can begin work. This is to comply with the contracting requirements of some of their clients. The applicant will not be charged for this; you will only need to submit a Waiver. SpeakWrite has contracted with Intellius to complete the background checks.
