Gather Socialwriters are paid to post discussions on the news stories of the day and other currently popular topics. Gather trains Socialwriters to select topics and write content that will get maximum pickup on search engines, blogs, social networks and media sites.

On Gather, members share their expertise, advice and views on current news stores and are paid for their popular content.

Socialwriters are paid:

  • Per Article: $2.50-$10 for articles that receive a minimum of 250 unique page views

  • AND

  • Monthly Bonus: $25-$100 based on the overall popularity of their writing throughout the month

To be a Socialwriter, you must be a U.S. resident. Socialwriters opt out of earning Gather Points. It's recommended that Socialwriters write 20 posts per month.

Here's a quote from a Home Jobs for Mom visitor:

In April, I started writing/blogging for Gather.com about News and Politics. I have made as much as $300 in a month. It is really easy and fun. They pay to PayPal on the 15th of each month. - Jeri @ Mothering4.com
