A Professional Demonstrator is a sales person who works between the product and the consumer. You've seen professional demonstrators in stores many times. Sometimes, they may be demonstrating a new product, like a kitchen knife. Many times you'll see them offering samples of new products at the grocery store. For this position, you will need to have good communication skills, a neat appearance, a great personality, experience in sales, the ability to stand for 6-8 hours, your own transportation to the store location, the ability to take product inventory, and the capability to complete report forms. You will also need to possess the following items: card table, white table cloth, and electric skillet, non-wooden cutting board, sharp knife, and serving utensils for cooking demonstrations. Most demonstrations will require you to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
A Professional Merchandiser will work either alone or with a team to maintain a product in the store location. You will need to possess good communication skills, neat appearance, the ability to lift at least 25 pounds, the ability to read a plan-o-gram or schematic, the ability to work in a team environment, reliable transportation to multiple locations each day, the ability to take product inventory, the ability to complete and report forms in a timely manner. There is no special equipment required for you to provide.
A Mystery Shopper helps a business increase its sales and improve employee performance. You will visit a store and shop for and purchase products or services. You will have a secret questionnaire and/or script to let you know exactly what do to. Once you complete the shop, you will complete a report to give the feedback to the client. For this position, you will need to be very observant, a neat appearance, a good memory, reliable transportation to multiple locations, the ability to complete and report forms in a timely manner. No special equipment is required.
An interviewer is a person who gathers data between the marketing company and the consumer. You will project the image of the company. You will need: great communication skills, clean and appealing professional appearance, sales ability, the ability to stand for 8 hours, reliable transportation, attention to detail, ability to read the questionnaire to the consumer, the ability to accurately record responses and location, the ability to complete report forms in a timely manner. For this position, you will also need a clip board and pens/pencils. You will most likely be required to work during the busiest shopping times.
When you perform as a Character, you will create a festive and positive environment at an event or store. You will be a the focus for everyone there, especially children. The key to your success at this position is the ability to take on and exhibit the character you are portraying. For this position, you must be able to handle a heavy and sometimes hot costume for 30-45 minutes at a time, enjoy being the center of attention, like children, enjoy crowds, and have reliable transportation to the event location. Costumes will be provided for you.
