About Us - Home Jobs for Mom
Because of many emails I have been receiving lately, I felt it was time to write an article that will give many of you a better idea of what Home Jobs for Mom is all about and what we do not do.
First, I want to make sure that you realize that Home Jobs for Mom DOES NOT offer employment to anyone, in any manner. I’m very sorry if you were under the impression that we do. We simply try to make a large list of other companies who do. We provide the information you need to find legitimate companies who hire people like you to work from home. If you send me an email asking me for employment or to consider hiring you, there is really nothing that I can do. I am not affiliated with any of the companies (except for a few of the survey companies) listed on Home Jobs for Mom and I do not affect their hiring processes in any way.
If you send me a message via one of the many comment form boxes found on Home Jobs for Mom, it comes to me and nobody else. Nobody will see your message except for me unless it’s a comment on page content and would therefore be posted on the applicable page. Therefore, if you send me a message asking about employment via a comment box found on an informational page about a specific company, that company will not see your message.
I hope this has cleared up some confusion. In addition, I would like to offer some advice for when you are job searching. I have been the recipient of many emails that say things such as the following:
“Hire me please.”
“I need to work, can you hire me.”
“I have a degree in such and such and X number of years experience with so-and-company. I am skilled in this and that. Etc etc.” ß That was not verbatim, obviously!
When you are searching for a job and contact a company with a simple sentence or paragraph similar to the ones above, they are not going to return contact. You must present yourself as being very professional. This is no time for grammatical or spelling errors. You will nearly always need to fill out some type of form to apply for employment, or submit your resume. For some help with this subject, please visit Tips for Writing an Effective Resume. Sometimes, there can be thousands of people applying for a single work at home job. You have to stand out from the rest. A simple sentence or short paragraph is not going to help you achieve what you are setting out to do. When you apply for a job, you need to provide all of the information that company needs to know that you are the perfect candidate for the job, in your first point of contact if possible. Don’t give them any excuse to send your email to the recycling bin!
I hope this article has helped you in some way and I wish you the best of luck in your search for a work at home job.
