Thanks! 11/6/10 -- i am trying to lower my groc.bill as well.i have been spending near 400.00 every two weeks.we spend more are groc.than anything else.i would like to get mine down to 400.oo a month.that would be great.we are a family of 4. ~Mary 11/6/10 -- I hope I can help people like you Mary! Where do you live? I can't imagine spending $800 a month on groceries for a family of 4! Be sure to check out my recipes page for some great meal ideas! ~Sarah 10/21/10 -- Your list does not mention coupons at all. I see that you purchase many, many name brand items. Those are usually the items that have the most coupons in your local paper. I used to belong to a coupons swap club at work. And of course the paper. Some sites like valuepak.com will allow you to print coupons from the internet. Places like walmart will allow double coupons on certain days. It will reduce your bill significantly. by the way, what grocery chain do you shop at? Balanced Designer BalanceYourDesign.com 10/21/10 -- I did mention coupons a couple of times, and I have talked about them a few times in my blog. I also have some pages here on HJFM where you can find links to print them online! I used to use coupons a lot more because a local grocery store doubles coupons. However, I haven't been finding coupons I want lately. You are right, I should probably try to use them a bit more. I try to stay away from name brands, but I do buy a few name brand snack items, name brand garlic bread, and a few other things. Hopefully I'll be able to reduce our grocery bill next month! ~Sarah
